Quote of the Day
“Ask anyone how they got really good at what they do, and there is one answer they won’t tell you: … School.
“They learned it on their own. Not because there was a test to pass, but because they were curious.” – Shane Parrish
The Peaks
Up at 5am to workout. With Dead Period now over, the boys were up at 5am too. They had practice as well as a 7v7 scrimmage at Brentwood. Weston said it went well. That’s about all the detail we got about that.
I had a good day at work. Jared was sick, so he worked remote. I made good progress on some tasks. Fable 5 is available until tomorrow night, so I’m using it to help plan a few projects that I can later hand off to Sonnet or Opus.
I was home by 6:30pm for dinner. Traci made chicken and pulled pork quesadillas.
Cade was over. He and Turner had gone to Sonic in the afternoon, so they weren’t hungry.
Weston came down and ate with us, but was in a bad mood because of all the questions we had.
As I was cleaning up, I saw a deer in our backyard, then I saw its baby. The mom hopped the fence, assuming to look for food, but the baby couldn’t clear the fence, so it stayed behind.
I walked Trek, then Traci and I watched S05E02 of The Bear.
The upstairs AC has officially shit the bed. It had been running all day, but not cooling anything. I turned it off to avoid overheating, and put a box fan in the upstairs window to try and get some of the hot air out of there.
Weston ended up sleeping downstairs. Turner slept upstairs with a box fan blowing at him.
