Cherry Blossom Festival

The Pits: We made the mistake of not packing any water, snacks or sunscreen for the festival. It wasn’t long until we were all hangry and thirsty. We didn’t really want any of the fair food, but unfortunately we had trouble finding anywhere else around downtown that didn’t have a 1.5 hour wait. We ended up going with B.B. King’s and enjoyed some nachos.

The Peaks: Today was team picture day for all of the flag football teams. We had to get there at 7am for Weston’s team photos. It was in the mid-30s, so it was just pure cruelty for everyone.

Weston’s team versed the #1 ranked team in the league. They ended up losing, but not by much; Weston’s team actually held their own and did pretty good. Weston scored a few touchdowns that he was excited about.

Turner’s team had pics at 9 and played at 10. His team beat the Bears, their first win!

We had a quick lunch at home and then headed to Nashville to meet the Tateuchis at the Cherry Blossom Festival. It was an interesting festival; my favorite part was the drummers and the boys seemed to enjoy that too.

We got home and I napped on the screened porch. We got Sonic for the boys, then put them to bed and got Chinese food for Traci and me. We hung out on the porch, reading and dozing off until we heard our neighbor calling for her cat. We grumbled and headed up to bed.
