Seaside Trip: Day 1
Despite getting to bed later than usual, the boys woke up raring to go around 5:30am. We started off the morning at the beach, and it didn’t take long for the boys to want to come back to the pool.
Seaside Trip: Departure
I woke up with nausea and an uneasy stomach. Not a pleasant experience before heading out on a long road trip. We left around 8:30am and I bore it as best I could as we traveled. I didn’t mention it

The Peaks – Short work day. I got the yard mowed and replaced the cracked screen on Traci’s iPhone. And yes, within the hour she’d dropped it again. Fortunately it didn’t crack. I also finished reading Art of Teaching: Best

The Peaks – Turner’s kindergarten teacher hooked him up with some helpful information on a summer reading plan. We checked out some books from the library yesterday and got started reading them tonight. Our goal is for him to read

The Peaks – I took Turner to a birthday party for one of his kindergarten friends. Even though school has only been out for a week, I’m glad he’s getting to meet up with some of his friends during the
Gogatsu Ningyo
The Peaks – We had dinner with Yui’s family tonight and we were introduced to this “gogatsu ningyo”, which is a custom for the Japanese observance of Children’s Day. This is a very valuable (think ~$10k) customary display. I am
