Canon 24-70mm L

As I mentioned last week, I decided to sell my two current lenses so I could upgrade to the lens I've wanted for quite some time, the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L lens. My 70-200mm lens sold in under 2 days, so I decided to go ahead and order the new lens.

It came in today and I wanted to do some comparisons with the 17-50mm lens I've been using for the past year and a half (and which costs less than half as much as the new one). Here are the two lenses side-by-side. My new lens is the one on the right...the one with the awesome red line around it.

Photo Specs
  • Camera: Canon EOS 40D
  • Lens: Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8
  • Shutter: 1/60 sec
  • Aperture: f/4.0
  • ISO: 200
