My mom was staying with Boog tonight, so we invited them to go eat at Old Spaghetti Factory (OSF) with us because OSF was offering 40% off regular menu prices today.
I dropped off the family on 2nd avenue downtown and headed toward the nearest garage which is typically $5 to park at. Only, tonight's price was $15 "event parking", but we never found out what "event" was going on (they probably heard about the OSF offer and decided to capitalize on it).
I finally found a fairly close parking lot with $10 parking, though I was having trouble getting the meter machine to accept my credit card.
At that time, I got a call from Traci saying that there was a 45 minute wait. Typically, that wouldn't scare us off, but on a cold night in a crowded restaurant with a 4 month old that was overdue to eat, 45 minutes is about 42 minutes too long to wait. Plus, none of us were thrilled with the $10 parking fee.
We drove across town to try out Bosco's, but their parking lot was full as well.
So, we all basically said, "F*ck it" and went back to Cracker Barrel. Technically, we drove around town for 45 minutes just so we could eat 5 minutes from home.
