Sleds? Where we’re going, we don’t need sleds!

The Pits: Weston got so cold on our snow outing, when we finally got back home they rushed upstairs and I overheard him tell Turner, “Don’t tell dad, but I would rather be at school!” We didn’t realize it at the time, but this must’ve been when he started getting sick with the flu. His appetite started getting worse and worse and he didn’t have a lot of energy. We suspected something was up, but we hadn’t taken him to the doctor yet.

The Peaks: We had a pretty good amount of snow in the area, around 2 inches. Yet, even with all of that snow, the boys’ sleds didn’t work quite as good as they did just a few days ago when there was just a thin, icy layer covering the ground. They eventually abandoned the sleds altogether and just slid down in their clothes.

Traci and I both worked from home, and the boys cooperated and kept the noise down for the most part.
