Emoji of Questionable Quality

The Pits: The dynamic of a family becomes evident when there is screaming, yelling, crying, hitting, kicking, and spanking, all between church and lunch, and still being able to sit down and have a pleasant meal together.

The Peaks: Our afternoon was spent cleaning house, resting, and playing football. Turner and I took Trek for a walk and saw a deer that let us get surprisingly close to it before it decided that it’d prefer to avoid a close encounter with Trek.

The Tateuchis came over for to cookout some burgers and hang out for a bit and discuss important topics such as the absence of s’mores and campfire emoji. As the sun was setting, we made a fire and roasted incinerated some marshmallows for s’mores. I can’t in all honesty say that no marshmallows were harmed during the making of today’s featured photo.

I finished reading the ebook of The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint-ExupĂ©ry. It’s such a short, fun read, and I plan to read it again with the boys.
