RICE and Shine

The Pits: We tried to go to the pool, but the weather wasn’t cooperative. I twisted my ankle on a curb while throwing football during our WITSWAD.

The Peaks: After failing to take the boys swimming, because of the weather, we came back home. They played while I disassembled our porch table and got started painting the legs.

After dinner, the boys and I took a walk to the old basketball goal. Turner brought a basketball and Weston brought a football. They took turns dunking and throwing, until I twisted my ankle. I hobbled home and then RICEd my ankle (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation), but it was pretty painful.

I finished reading Breakfast of Champions, by Kurt Vonnegut. It was incredibly odd and funny and bizarre. I really enjoyed it.
