The Pits: The temperature dropped quickly during tonight’s practice. Both Turner’s and my fingers were numb and blue.
The Peaks: Tonight the coach covered defensive plays with the boys. They learned to play what he calls “The Gauntlet” where one kid has to try to pull the flag off each of his teammates one at a time as they run down the field. It’s a pretty intense drill but it’s fun to watch and the kids seem to enjoy it.
Turner got some experience playing quarterback, even though the majority of the plays were handoffs.
He seems to be enjoying it and so far, for me, it’s a much more fulfilling experience than Scouts.
