Hikes and Hoodie Stains

The Pits: I washed my brand new hoodie from L.L. Bean with some of the boys’ clothes and as I was pulling them out of the dryer I saw that one of the little twerps had left a crayon in his pocket and it had stained my new hoodie. I was not happy. Fortunately, Boog offered a tip of soaking the clothes in vinegar and dish soap for about 30 minutes and washing again. That took care of 99% of the stains, so I was slightly less not happy than previously. Of course, Turner could tell I wasn’t delighted so he offered to give me some cash to help pay for a new hoodie.

The Peaks: In the afternoon, the boys and I joined the Cub Scout den at Marcella Vivrette Smith Park for a 2 mile hike. It went alright, but I was a bit bummed I had to walk at the back of the pack again instead of actually getting to hike with my boys. Typical Scouts.
