    I’ve never even SEEN that sort of hat before. Must be a southern thing. I opened the page expecting some big-ass woolly cap!

    I always considered a toboggan (the hat, not the sled) to be a knit cap similar to that one, except taller, so that there’s space between it and the top of your head. But I generally call any hat like that a toboggan anyway. I believe my brother in law, who’s from PA, calls his knit cap like that one a “beanie”. It’s the kind that fits snugly against the top of your head.

    I have a friend at work whose husband is from Alberta and he says all kinds of weird shit…like when he wants you to hurry up he says, “right, chicken louie” meaning pretty quick or fast…
