A few weeks ago, I heard speculation that gas prices would be reaching the $3 mark by summertime, but I wasn’t expecting it to be this soon. I paid $3.05/gal for gas today, and that sucks! It’s getting to the point people have to really start making room in their budgets for gas.

Just putting things in perspective, I spent enough on this tank of gas as I would’ve if I’d have bought Super Paper Mario for the Wii.

Yesterday, I was talking to one of my co-workers who resides in San Diego. She said that she lucked out and found gas for $3.36/gal, and that was cheap for them! Good heavens, let’s hope that it doesn’t get to the point where we’re thankful for a $3.36/gal pricetag!

What’s the main problem here? Other than saying, “It’s all President Bush’s fault,” why are gas prices on the rise? Is there anything that can be done, or we basically f*cked?
