Canyon’s Gate

This is the guardrail for the Grand Canyon, which is a great experience. We took a 14 hour trip, which pretty much killed the entire day. I don’t regret going, but I do wish we had had more time in Vegas.

The drive time to canyon, at least via Greyhound-type transportation, is around 5 hours. 30 minutes outside of Vegas is the Hoover Dam, which I enjoyed more than I thought I would. If I ever visit Vegas again, I’d definitely consider going back to have a more thorough tour of the dam, but I’d probably bypass the canyon trip just because of the amount of time it takes up.

If you decide to visit the canyon again, you should check out the western rim. Its a shorter drive and there are no guardrails. 🙂 I’m looking forward to seeing all the pictures you took on your western excursion!
